The adventures of Nipper
... the smartest dog in the world
Nipper is a rather clever dog who lives with his master Mr. Troutbridge in a house just outside Middletown. Nipper loves adventures and solving problems. In fact, Nipper is so clever that he can talk with people, though Mr. Troutbridge doesn't know that.
Nipper’s best friend is Duffy, who isn't as clever as Nipper, but she is loyal, fearless and very, very strong. She can also climb trees, which is most unusual for a dog.
Mr. Troutbridge goes to work every morning. He walks into Middletown and catches a train to the big city, where he works with computers in a very smart office. He loves listening to classical music and thinks everyone else should too.
When Mr. Troutbridge leaves for work he leaves Nipper in the house curled up on the sofa, listening to classical music on the radio. He thinks Nipper is a lazy dog, but nothing could be further from the truth.
Every day as soon as Mr Troutbridge has gone to work, Nipper goes out of the house to call on his friend Duffy, who lives just around the corner with her mistress, Miss Foxglove.
That is when the adventures begin!
